For an effective, Independent voice for our community

Getting things done for our rural residents

David Knight moved to Goudhurst from Tunbridge Wells in 1999, with his wife to raise their two children in the Kent countryside.

He still works locally at the business he founded in 1987 and he is committed to providing a more effective, Independent, representation for our villages at Tunbridge Wells Borough Council where he was elected Borough Councillor for Goudhurst and Lamberhurst in the May 2021 local elections.

After the May 2024 election he was also elected as Deputy Leader of The Tunbridge Wells Alliance.

He was re-elected again to TWBC in May 2024 for the new ward of Rural Tunbridge Wells and serves as vice-chair on the important Overview and Security committee.

He was elected to Goudhurst Parish Council in the May 2019 elections and is Chair of the Amenenities Committee and deputy chair of the Finnance and Youth and Housing committees.

He is also a trustee of Kilndown Village Hall, Quarry Centre and The Millenium Green where he represents Goudhurst Parish Council.
