Goudhurst’s new Defibrillator

Goudhurst’s new Public Access Defibrillator

The official opening ceremony for Goudhurst’s new Public Access Defibrillator, (PAD) took place on Saturday 9th November and the ribbon was cut by the Antony Harris, Chairman of the Goudhurst Parish Council.

The Council has always been extremely supportive of the national initiative to place defibrillators in old BT red kiosks and wanted to provide this for Goudhurst to mirror the one that is installed in Kilndown.

The children of Goudhurst and Kilndown Church of England Primary School designed and produced the very attractive mosaic flooring and many of them and other local residents attended the event.

Afterwards cake and coffee was available upstairs inThe Vine where some training was provided by Georgia Reed-Cutting on how to use the Defibrillator.
