Goudhurst Fibre fully approved

Updated: Mar 31, 2022

I am please to confirm that the Goudhurst Demand Led Project for over 800 properties in Goudhurst and Curtisden Green has finally been fully approved by the DCMS - Apologies to anyone who has already registered on the broadband page here, as you may be reading this twice.

I know this fibre project has been immensely frustrating and seemed to be moving slowly at times, but many different agencies have been involved and now we finally have the opportunity for fibre and Ultrafast internet to be connected to over 800 properties in the Parish with download speeds of up to 900 MBs.

To see if you are eligible and pledge your voucher to this scheme, please follow this link -

Don't forget to share this link with your neighbours so they too can pledge their vouchers for this scheme. If you are a business operating from your address please tick the "business" option in the form.

If you get a response to say you are not eligible for this project, it probably means you already have access to Fibre To The Premises already so please contact your provider and ask them to upgrade you and should then not have to wait 12 months for this scheme to be built. If you have any other questions, please contact me directly.

The scheme is split into two projects and as soon as the target number of vouchers has been pledged the project will then move into build stage.

Kilndown has a separate Community Fibre Project scheme and I will post more information on this soon.

If there are any questions regarding this project please do not hesitate to contact me.
